How to Apply

Application Process

Candidates must posess a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited University. Professional and managerial experience is highly recommended. Strong candidates may be scheduled a telephone interview with a member of the MID Admissions board as part of the application process.

Please Note: Each “round” represents a distinct period in which you may apply, not a succession of steps in your application. You may apply in one round only, one time in an application year. You must have your application submitted in its entirety by the deadline to be considered for a round.

Applicants are encouraged to apply in the first or second round, as space may become limited by the third round. In addition, applying in the earlier rounds will give candidates more time to address such matters as financial aid, grants, loans, etc.

  1. Complete the Texas Common Application and pay $50 Application Fee.

    • The essay found on ApplyTexas is not required for your admission into the MID Program. Please type “N/A” in this essay space.

    Note: Save PDF and send as an attachment
  2. Three Essay Questions found on MID Supplementary Application
    No more than one page for each question.
  3. Professional Resume
  4. Submit three letters of recommendation
    Please ask three individuals to evaluate your capabilities within the organizational environment. Letters should be on the organizational letterhead. They may submit their scanned letters via email to or by mail in a sealed envelope to:MID Admissions Office

  1. Official College Transcript(s)
    Transcripts must be sealed by the University to be recognized as official. Transcripts are required from EVERY educational institution you have attended prior to this time.
  2. TOEFL or IELTS scores
    • Only for applicants whose native language is not English
    • Not required for anyone with a 4-year undergraduate degree from an accredited US University
    • Minimums – TOEFL Score: 80, IELTS Score: 6.0
      The institutional code for Texas A&M University for the GRE and TOEFL is 6003 (no department codes needed). There is no institutional code for the IELTS examination (the testing agency should mail official results to the address above).
